Fieldwork Support Across Odisha
NSAR Foundation invites Principal Investigators (PIs), researchers, research organisations, academic institutions, consultants and study providers to collaborate with us for field-based research and data collection across all districts of Odisha.
Our fieldwork support is available in rural, tribal and urban areas and can be designed according to the objectives, methodology and requirements of each study.

Role of NSAR Foundation
NSAR Foundation provides field-level operational and manpower support for approved research projects.

Field Management
Our team can support field-level coordination and management, including:
- Local field coordination

Data Collection Support
We can assist with the implementation of data-collection tools and methodologies developed or approved for the study.

Role of the PI / Study Provider
The Principal Investigator or study provider will be responsible for providing the core research requirements and approvals necessary for the project.

Financial Responsibility
The PI or study provider will provide the agreed project funding/budget required for the fieldwork and related activities.
Legal & Ethical Requirements
The PI or study provider will be responsible for obtaining and providing all applicable:
- Institutional approvals
- Ethical approvals
- Research permissions
- Government or departmental permissions, where required
- Informed consent requirements
- Legal and regulatory documents
- Other permissions required under applicable Indian laws and institutional policies
NSARF Fieldwork Collaboration Model
NSAR Foundation primarily provides fieldwork and operational support. We collaborate with PIs and study providers to implement approved research activities at the ground level across Odisha.
Initial Discussion
The PI or study provider contacts NSAR Foundation and discusses the proposed research project.
Project Planning
The PI shares the project's objectives, methodology, geographic coverage, sample requirements, timeline and expected outcomes.
Fieldwork Plan & Budget
NSAR Foundation's team reviews the requirements and develops a practical fieldwork plan and estimated budget in consultation with the PI.
Legal & Ethical Documentation
Before fieldwork begins, the PI/study provider provides all applicable research, ethical, legal and permission documents required for implementation.
Team Orientation & Training
NSAR Foundation's field team receives project-specific training and orientation from the PI or designated research team.
Field Implementation
After final approval and preparation, the NSAR Foundation team conducts the fieldwork according to the agreed methodology, timeline and quality requirements.
Field Monitoring & Coordination
The NSAR Foundation team coordinates field activities, monitors progress and communicates with the PI or designated project team during implementation.
Completion & Clearance
After completion of the agreed fieldwork, the project is reviewed and the required fieldwork completion/clearance documentation is provided according to the agreed terms.

NSAR Foundation can support fieldwork across Odisha, including:
Field locations, sample areas and coverage will be finalised based on the approved research design and project requirements.

Important Note
NSAR Foundation provides fieldwork, manpower and operational support. The PI or study provider remains responsible for the overall research design, scientific methodology, funding, ethical approval, legal permissions and other approvals required for the study.
All fieldwork will be undertaken only after the project requirements, responsibilities, budget, documentation and terms of collaboration have been mutually discussed and agreed.
