Visits with clinicians are at the center of patients’ health care experience. Systematic reviews of the preconditions for improving health care delivery have emphasized the importance of patient-physician communication. While numerous efforts to improve patient-physician communication have been attempted, these efforts and their effectiveness have rarely been compared head-to-head.
