Research has shown that adolescents are not actively involved during their medical visits and do not ask their providers many questions, which may lead to limited knowledge of how to manage their asthma, low self-efficacy, and poor asthma control. One promising mechanism to increase active adolescent participation in asthma visits is through the use of prompt lists.
