After spinal cord injury (SCI), most individuals develop neurogenic bladder (NGB). There are several bladder management methods for individuals with NGB, including clean intermittent catheterization (CIC), chronic indwelling catheters (IDCs), surgery to change the anatomy of the bladder, and spontaneous voiding. Little is known about patient-reported bladder symptoms or quality of life (QOL) with different NGB management methods. Understanding NGB QOL issues is paramount to shared decision-making about NGB management.
