NICE Technology Appraisals are recommendations on the use of new and existing medicines and other treatments within the NHS. They are based on the best available clinical evidence showing how well the medicine or treatment works and cost effectiveness showing how well the medicine or other treatment works in relation to how much it costs the NHS. The NHS is legally obliged to fund and resource treatments recommended as an option by NICE Technology Appraisals and make sure it is available within 3 months of publication.
